Races and Events

YWCA Minneapolis lives our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women and girls through our high-quality programs and events. Browse all current opportunities for races and other one-time events.

Child Care and Youth Programs

We’re proud to provide full-time day care programs built around an anti-bias curriculum that teaches children to foster strong relationships and respect all points of view. Our afterschool programs equip girls and youth to be learners, leaders and creators of change so they graduate from high school ready for college and careers. Browse ongoing volunteer roles in our early childhood education and youth programs with varying commitments. Fill out the volunteer interest form here.

Racial Justice Facilitator

YWCA Minneapolis provides free racial justice facilitator training. Through the indigenous tradition of circle dialogue, facilitators gain experience and confidence navigating through difficult conversations about race and the effects of racism. After completing our three-part training program, you will be prepared to facilitate YWCA workshops, community conversations and our yearly It’s Time to Talk: Forums on Race™ event. Note: Facilitator training occurs February – June each year. Fill out the facilitator application here.
